3rd Thursday Street Fest

August 17th 2023

6-9pm Main St.

Thanks to all of YOU, the July Fest was incredible! Next up is the August 3rd Thursday which will rock your world on the 17th from 6-9pm right on Main St in Historic Willimantic! We have an incredible lineup of vendors, downtown merchants, food trucks and restaurants, children’s activities, street performers, and of course… live musical entertainment on multiple stages. There’s so much to do and see and there is something for everyone. The street fest is always free to attend and to park. Come on down to enjoy a lively night with family, neighbors, and friends… eat, drink, dance, and shop in your community.

For August, we have over 115 vendors and merchants lining Main St. Try some local crafters, learn about non-profits in the area, eat at 20 authentic ethnic food vendors, and visit the shop owners that stay open nice and late for everyone’s enjoyment. For some inside dining, Main St features Willibrew, Stone Row, Cordoba, Trigo, Grounded Coffee, A Cupcake for Later, Maria Garo’s Place, the Harp on Church, Blarney’s, and the newest addition Paula & Jane Boba Tea. Have a sweet snack at Quiet Corner Fudge, Fried Dough at the First Congregational Church booth, ice cream from Ra Ra’s, or kettle korn at Keifer's. There’s falafel, pizza, bbq, mexican, burgers, latin, vegan, fried chicken, and so much more for dinner and snacks.

Take some time to visit the crafter sections in Mid/ Up/ Way Uptown to get some fun new jewelry, candles, pottery, and hand sewn clothing and accessories. Check out our farmers section and grab a beautiful bouquet of flowers or some locally grown food items. Pause and watch the Good Time Magician in Uptown dazzle and delight children of all ages with tricks that will amuse and mystify. Take a tour of the Textile, Railroad, and Natural History museums that have amazing information on our history and that of our community. Windham Arts is also conducting a ribbon cutting for the "White Train " mural next to Cupcake for Later. Visit the QR code right on site at the mural for more information.  Our theme this month is the weather which as we all know has been wild as of late. Visit participating vendors for fun themed activities.

All night we have some seriously fun sounds cooked up. Journey to the musical stages and dance to a wide range of genres and entertainers like Arnaldo Rivera and His Bentetú Band in Way Uptown, DJ CHUCK at Eminence Ink playing popular tunes, River City Slim & The Zydeco Hogs and then Jake Kulak Band at the Midtown Stage right in the lively beer garden, and Cover 2 Cover Band followed by Litvar at the Downtown Stage.

Please visit our website at for the full line up of vendors and the entertainment schedule for this month’s fest activities.
